I was watching the tutorial on learning connector for creating knurling on a cylindrical surface (http://learningexchange.ptc.com/tutorial/2528/create-knurling-on-a-cylindrical-surface) when I realized there is a faster method for completing this.
Once the initial patterned helical sweep is completed, rather than creating another idependent feature and pattern, it is possible to simply create a plane that divides the cylinder along a horizontal plane and mirror about that. Alternatively if the original extrusion is done symetric about the top plane, one can simply mirror the feature about the top plane.
This will save a little time and has the added benefit of the entire knurling feature being defined by a single profile as opposed to two independent profiles.
