What's with the new website?

What's with the new website?

There is no "Technical Support" link under "Support". In fact, there is no "Technical Support" link ANYWHERE. Just Business, Platform, and Global links. Unless of course, you're on the Forums page, and then it is only Platform and Global. Doesn't "Technical Support" qualify as a "Support" option? It took me at least a minute to figure out that I just clicked on the column header (Support) to get to the Technical Support page. Instead I was looking through all the other options trying to find it. For example, if you pause over "Solutions" the sub-menu lists three options - Industry, SMB, and Process. If you click on Solutions, the page comes up with those three choices. All the other menus work this way. But if you click on Support you get Technical Support, not a page showing Business, Platform, Global. Nowhere on the Home page can you find a link to Technical Support. Go and look at the structure of their site, particularly the way Products/Solutions/Services & Training etc are arranged and how the links work. Then, take a look at what they did with they way the built "Support". It is totally different from the rest of the pull-downs in its structure and that makes it confusing It just reinforces the notion that PTC doesn't really look HARD at what they do. I would complain to the Webmaster, but there is no link to one!

I'm with you Peter, I've wasted a lot of time looking for things on this website. I too have found it very difficult to find the technical support link, so difficult that I ended up just phoning PTC for help. It was only on a second attempt (when I had more time) did I find it and now I have a link to it in my favorites so I never have to look for it again.

I agree, It's hard enough to get precise help on specific topics as it is and now it's even more difficult in my opinion.

"The hope is that you and other users will find the new layout of the Support page beneficial in its structure" My hope is just to FIND the new support page! I am with Peter on this one. Please stop having the people programming the Pro/E UI help out on the website. They have proven to be lacking in consistency for YEARS, I don't think they will change just because they are programming for the web. If its a drop down menu, the choices are in the drop down. If its a button it should look like a button, but worst of all is this mix and match you have going!
