I am looking into the possibility of creating process drawings by replacing the view model from an engineering drawing (copy) with a process model using the "Replace View Model" function in Creo Parametric. I have been able to get it to work with a very simple model, however most of the time I get an error saying that "the models are not related by any shrinkwrap, merged or derived model" despite the fact that the process model is just an inheritance of the engineering model. Also, for some reason, the cross sections from section views are lost when I replace the view model.
I am using the following settings. Is there anything I am doing wrong? Any help will be appreciated.
