♻Working Group description and objective – Identify requirements that need to be met in order to re-use CAD models to generate Model-Based Work Instructions. These requirements could be documented in the form of CAD modeling standards or best practices that Creo designers can use to ensure that the models can used to author the Model-Based Work Instructions. In addition to defining these requirements for the CAD models, how the features or contents of the CAD models are used to author the work instructions. In other words, applications such as Creo Illustrate and Anark can use the CAD models defined per these requirements to enable powerful, intuitive capabilities to generate the highest quality Model-Based Work Instructions.

The Ideal Design Review Process / Functionality for MBD

Working Group Leader: Madhavi Ramesh mramesh-2) and Heather Pomerene (hpomerene)
This Group will identify and document the various processes used by PTC customers for doing design reviews. Identify and document key components needed for a successful MBD design review. Identify and document relationships between design review artifacts and other items/functionality in Windchill and Creo View. Identify and document user interface issues that cause problems today, what is the business impact due to these problems and possibly make suggestions on what could be more intuitive.

Working Group Participant Profile: Participants would have a good understanding of current company
processes for doing design reviews and how their company utilizes Windchill and Creo View today. Participants would also need to have an awareness of current Creo View functionality. The ideal group would have
representation from an operations/manufacturing perspective, engineering perspective and configuration management perspective.
