We have recently updated to Creo after having used Creo 3 for a few years. The behavior of Creo 3's preselection and pick from list was identical to that of numerous previous versions. Creo 4 has brought sereral important changes. Some of them are welcome, for instance that surfaces are now the first geometry items in the list to pick from. Great improvement.
But I notice 2 things that make me miss Creo 3 :
- It is now impossible to preselect vertices. Vertices may not be as frequently selected geometry items than surfaces or edges, but they are certainly worth keeping in the list.
- One thing I used to do a lot in Creo 3 was to select (preselection) a component in an assembly, press "ctrl" and select one or more other components, and then perform an action. It seems impossible to do that now. I select the first component, hover my cursor over other components so that I see them highlight, but as soon as I press "ctrl", component highlighting stops and it's impossible to select anything else. I miss that functionnality.
Bringing those 2 functionalities/behaviors back would definitely be welcome.
