What are you plans this weekend. (Long weekend in the States.)
You might be an engineer if:
You look forward to Christmas, so you can put together the kids' toys.
You think that people yawning around you are sleep deprived.
You see a good design, and have to change it.
You spent more on your calculator than you did on your wedding ring.
On my way. Don't start breakfast without me. If i leave within the nex hour or 2, I will make it right on time.
Since you're from Houston, you may want to pack a winter coat. At 9:00 am, it can still be in the low 50°'s (~10° C) in the morning. The high is supposed to be around 70° (21° C).
I'll put some extra bacon on the fry pan for you!!
oh no...i don't do winter weather!!! LOL
Don't worry. I'll probably put on my suit and take a dip in the big lake before leaving for the day....
Current lake temp is 57° (14° C).
Hmmmm, a refreshing 57 degree dip or a relaxing 81 degree swim. which should I choose???
My son kept repeating, "No sharks, no jellyfish, no sting rays, ....."
It's fun to catch sharks. Fast and strong. I've never caught one bigger than 3 foot long, but its not a species I am targeting. Friends have told me that they have been bumped by sharks when wade fishing. Not something I really want to experience. I do know that if you have fish on a stringer when you are wade fishing, you need to have your stringer on some sort of quick release, if you can imagine!
Stingrays are just heavy when you catch them. They want to go to the bottom. They move a little but mostly just try to go to the bottom. It's not fun to catch a large one when you are on a small boat.
The penultimate stage of the Giro d'Italia cycling race comes to us tomorrow.

It will be an exceptional stage with the double climb (and of course double descent) from Monte Grappa.
Here a bit of the history of the mountain that gives its name to my city after the events of World War I.

We also had the famous American Red Cross boys including Hemingway to whom a museum is also dedicated inside a villa where he was housed.

While what happened in September 1944 led to my city being awarded the Gold Medal for Military Valor (here unfortunately I cannot find a site in English as well, but you can easily translate it)

Ended up being a misty 57 degree air temperature. The pavilion was open so we ended up using that. Just under 30 in attendance. Several people backed out do to weather. A good time was had by those who attended.
