I installed it earlier today and spent about 2 hours with it. Seems way better than Creo 2.0. They've added a lot of stuff that Solidworks and Inventor had when I first started using CAD back in the mid 2000s, like the view normal and section clipping in a sketch. Sketch regions is pretty cool too and one of the biggest things I miss from Inventor. I also liked that if I hide something in the layer tree I can now unhide it from the Model tree. I also love the mid plane option for datums. The not having to activate a window is pretty cool too (cant believe a software released in 2012 doesnt have that option).

Seems they still haven't figured out the 31 character or spaces in a filename thing. I also wish there was an option to mate/constrain things like in Inventor or SW assemblies, I hate having to reorder my assembly tree to place a mate/constraint. I also wish they'd tell you if you have any unlocked dimensions in a sketch. I also really miss the view cube from Inventor and Solidworks (top right corner in Inventor or hit the spacebar in Solidworks). I also wish I could open multiple parts at once instead of file open a bunch of times. Creo 2.0 feels like something out of the 90s and Creo 6.0 feels like something out of the early 2000s. So that's progress.

Creo 2.0 really is killing me and I hope my company updates soon(supposed to go to 4.0 next month). Hopefully won't be long until we go to 6.0. I'm glad to see somethings are improving.

Also installed first few days to test it out. Not seeing too much difference from 5.0, little benefits here and there...

Noticed that the support site is now https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r6.0/usascii/ instead of http://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/usascii/, funny that it's r6.0 instead of 6.0.0.0? 6.0 F000? I dunno what the numbering scheme is anymore these days 😛

Biggest change that would benefit us is that this fixes https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS272510, which fixes cross sections causing annotations to throw warnings when an annotation references a section and that section isn't active. If you haven't yet noticed that 3D section references break in Creo 4 or Creo 5...well, best you check now and evaluate whether 6.0 is an option.

The integrated help in the UI is also a nice plus.
