CREATING AN AXIS IN THE SKETCHER MODE?

Prior to WF 5.0, I could create and axis in the sketcher mode by the commands sketch/axis point. The user then could place a point onto the sketch (say the center of a slot) and then after the feature was created the slot would have a 3d axis that bolts and holes could be aligned to.

Wheredid the command go inWF5.0?

As for PTC customer/user service,

When is the Menu Mapper from 4.0 to 5.0 going to show up on the PTC page?

Where are the release note located on the PTC websight?

In the sketcher use the point creation icon for creating an axis. There are two
types now and the "geometry point" is the one you want to create an axis in your
sketch that is normal to the sketching plane. Happy modeling

True, but that only works for sketches internal to the feature. Sketches
created separately can't have axis points.

Not using WF5 yet, but I thought the new 'geometry point' eliminated
that restriction. Is that not the case?

I have just checked. As a standalone sketch, I can create a geometry
point, a geometry axis, and a geometry csys in WF5 M040

When I use the sketch to create a protrusion, the geometry point creates
an axis.

All of the entities of the sketch change to hidden, but remain as-is.
