Curve driven pattern

Curve driven pattern

I'm having an issue with a curve driven pattern.  I created a cut with a
single circle as the section.  The circle is constrained to the curve
and dimensioned from a datum plane.  When I try to pattern it, it shifts
the curve so that the pattern is offset to the right.  See the image
below to see what I'm talking about

The first cut is located at the dot where the arrow is pointing, but
Pro/E is assuming it's at the origin of the curve in red.  I tried the
same thing with a datum point on the curve a distance from the origin
with the same results.

How do I get this pattern to follow the curve properly?

Doug,

I had a similar problem in the past when creating a pattern along a curve (Pro-E WF 3.0) where the first instance of the pattern is not at the origin of the curve, and I have provided a write-up on a work around to solve the problem:

I have not tested this in Pro-E WF 5.0 yet. Let me know how this works out for you.
