Designating Connectores using Port Parameters

Parameters are defined on the connectors in order to simplify the designation in the cabling module.

How can I get back automatically the number of PIN and their name ?

Thanks

Hi Christian,

While in Cabling, select the "[] Cabling Parameters" on the tool bar, then select your connector.  You will get a pop up box, select Display for "Pins" within the pop up box.  Drop down to the Pins and make sure you have your "Term_Name" filled out for each of the wires.  If you don't see "Term_Name" you will need to add the column from the 'View' in the popup box.  Please note: "Term_Name" is the part number and not the description.  Be sure to select "Apply" in the popup box and close out the box.  Then go to the Logical Data drop down on the tool bar.  You will see "Terminators", select it and edit the terminators.  Add the description column, (Column parameter is taken from the View in the popup box). Then manually type in your description.

Hope that helps!

Hi Lori

Thanks for your help. It works.
