Difference between patterns?

Difference between patterns?

I used to work with ProE W4 M200. I now use Creo Parametric 2 and it takes some getting used to.

Apparantly there is a Geometry Pattern and a "Normal" Pattern. The normal pattern works the same as it did with Wildfire 4, but the Geometry Pattern has some options disabled and creates "copies"(?) of the patterned feature?

What are the pros and cons of these patterns?

When should you use one over the other?

Thank you for reading, and even more thanks for answering.

Thanks! Just what I needed! So if I understand correctly, they both can do the same, but depending on the situation, one is more efficient and lighter than the other.

That is how I undestand it also, but my personal experience has been that Geometry Pattern fails more often so I almost never use it.
