I'm not familiar with the "pre-skeleton, map part concept", can you
elaborate or do you have a link describing it?



To say that I haven't been successful at a less than 100% use of
skeletons is perhaps misleading. I haven't been comfortable with an
approach that uses less than full immersion is more accurate. I think
the reason for that is simply any approach that doesn't put all common
geometry requires a process of deciding what goes in and what does not.
There are probably as many ways to structure that as there are readers
of this email. We simply haven't structured a process like that here
to date.
