Off Topic - But crucial

Hi all,

I am having pretty good old drawings made by our super-seniors. Probably I think that time the evolution of GD&T symbols were not there.

In drawings, they have given such tolerance/controls using phrases/statements.

Does anyone come across such drawings? Does anyone have document which correlates such statements/phrases to equivalent to modern GD&T symbols/meaning?

If I get some light on this, I will be enlightened 🙂

Thanks and regards,
KS Jnanesha

Even with "Modern GD&T" many phrases or statements are still required to
expressly pin down what the fit and function is. "All around, both
sides, pitch diameter etc. comes to mind. Super seniors are usually
pretty good in their application and I think you're looking for the
interpretation of what they are saying. To that end, I don't think
you'll find a documented correlation of such statements or phrases. Your
best bet is to meet with a Super Senior and ask!

Unfortunately, I'm tending to Super Senior-ship myself. I remember the
days of color-washing paper drawings.
