SUMMERY: Repeat Regions

My thanks to all that responded- Brian N., Dave R., Brian L., and Paul K.
(summery and original question below). I still have to play with it, but I
think what I need is in here. This is my first attempt at repeat region
relations so I'm not very good at them either. If it was just the "H", I
could add it in the repeat region text before "&rpt.index" but it's the zero
on just the first 9 items that's the problem.

RE: SUMMERY: Repeat Regions

SUMMERY: Repeat RegionsGary,

I have your cure, ye haw!!! First SPR1079834 was file because the
if-else-endif structure does not like it is documented. So here goes:

This is the structure to test for the value of rpt_index and add the
needed "H" or "H0". This needs to be in the repeat region relations.

if rpt_index <= 9
index = "H0" + itos(rpt_index)
endif

if rpt_index > 9
index = "H" + itos(rpt_index)
endif

You will then have to set the cell text to rpt.rel.index instead of
rpt.index to have the proper value show up. There is a bug is using the
if-else-endif statement and PTC has logged an SPR accordingly.

Hope this helps!

RE: SUMMERY: Repeat Regions

Brian,

Thanks a lot for the help. I have input it into my repeat region relations
& it works great! The only issue is it seems to put the index numbers in
randomly and it's not updateable through the Fix Index command. I'm sure
it's because it's a string instead of an integer.

If anyone knows a fix to this please post or email me & I will post.

RE: SUMMERY: Repeat Regions

SUMMERY: Repeat RegionsGary,

I see the problem when an index is fixed the "new" index number with the
formatting is not updated. What gets me is, I have two columns, one with
rpt.rel.index and another with rpt.index, and when I fix the index the
rpt.index updates with the new number specified but the rpt.rel.index does
not.

I will have my call to PTC opened back up and see if they have a work
around for this too.
