Sketch into Drawing

Hi all,

I have a colleague who wants to be able to place a sketch that was used
to make a feature into a drawing to help explain a process.

He can save the sketch as an .sec file, but then Insert > Shared Data
does not allow an .sec to be inserted. Nor can it be Copied/Pasted. Does
anyone know of a way to do this?

I am still on an old version of Pro/E (2000i), but can't
you create a new curve and place the saved sketch (.sec) in the
sketcher and then this geometry is now a sketched curve? I guess if you
need this as a stand alone sketch in the drawing you might have to
create a new view and play with layers to show only the sketch. There
might be more efficient ways in WF. Good Luck

The easiest way to do this would be to create a cosmetic curve (can be datum curve) and pull in your section once you are in sketcher. The curve becomes a feature and you would be able to show that in a drawing. This curve could be a stand alone part with just the curve if you want to show it in that manner.
