Windchill Library access strategy

Right now out purchased parts are accessibile by all engineers in our
facility. Due to many accidental/unauthorized check ins, we are
thinking about locking these down. Whats a typical user access
strategy? Create a group that has the rights to create/modify, and if
anyone needs to add a part, these people do it for them? Or ad one or
two people as managers/admins of the library, and they add users as
library members on the fly, let them add/modify, and remove them when
they are done?

Thanks,

Mark Steffke

- Create a Library for these (and move all existing to there if needed). Same Lifecycle / Versioning as current.

- Make the Library "Private" which makes it use only the access Policies created in this Library and doesn't inherent any from higher domains.

- Make the normal group of users have Read / Download access here but nothing else.

- Create a Librarians group that has normal author permissions here.

///
We also created another Library that all Authors have full access to for the purpose of them creating Parts that need to be in the Library. The Librarians investigate / do due diligence on them and move to the official Library.
