More of a statement than a question, but I was looking to add an external merge geometry to a part that would ultimately end up in sheet metal mode.If I convert the part to sheet metal mode first, then I only have the option to add the geometry as an inheritance.The merge/ inheritance toggle button is grayed out. If I add the external merge in standard mode, I have both options (merge or inheritance).I can select merge and then convert the part to sheet metal mode.

Just wondering if anyone has seen or know why this works this way.
