opening .prt and iges files with different versions of proe w.f.

Hello ProE users...

I have questions concerning .prt, iges files (and other neutral formats) and proe w.f. 3 and 4.

1. Using proe 3, is it possible to open and use an iges file that was created from a proe part designed originally using proe w.f. 4??

2. Is it possible in any way to open and use proe files (.prt, .asm, .mfg) in w.f. 3 , that were originally created in w.f. 4 ??

thanks, best regards

Al.

Yes, both are possible.

An IGES file is version neutral, so you can open it in any CAD software
that supports IGES imports, including earlier versions of Pro|E.

PTC has a plugins that will allow you to open WF4 models in WF3 (or WF2,
I believe). More info here:
