Hello ProE CAM users.
I have problem with pocket milling which has ramp walls. I used Roughing
sequence with parameters SMOOTH_SHARP_CORNERS and SMOOTH_RADIUS. When I have
SMOOTH_SHARP_CORNERS = MAX_RADIUS, paths on lower slices have smaller round
and lay closer walls than paths abowe with larger rounds. Depth milling on
this smaller round is larger than MAX_STEP_DEPTH. This situation can break
tool
For SMOOTH_SHARP_CORNERS = CONSTANT_RADIUS radius isn't made on lower slaces
and path has sharp corner. Situation is similar. Tool on this sharp corner
is closer the wall pocket and tool is deeper in material because all paths
on slices above have round. In this situation we have communicate 'Filleting
was not possible on some sharp edges'.
I noticed this problem also for Volume sequence with the same parameters.
How is it possible that programme can increase stress in tool by mill
thickness larger then MAX_STEP_DEPTH.
