[summary] blend vertex, manifold from square to round

Thanks to all who replied and spent the effort sending me models of their
approach.

Summary :

1. A number of the suggestion I received suggested a scheme as
displayed at
http://www.proecentral.com/portal/forum/msgDetail.asp?msg_id=2538
<http: www.proecentral.com=" portal=" forum=" msgdetail.asp?msg_id="2538&for_id=34<br"/>> &for_id=34

2. You'd be better to make your geometry tapered from one square to
another and use variable rounds on the edges.
The round values would be zero at the end of the large square and equal to
half the width of the square at the end that winds up being circular.

3. I would be interested in seeing your result if someone finds a way
to do it with a single blend feature. It does work with surface features, as
attached.
4. After basic vertex counting and numbering I had a brainwave myself
over the weekend :
I modeled half of what I needed and mirrored that
Splitting the model adds two single vertices on the rectangle but not on the
half-circle
See the attached gif and model-file (all features suppressed)

Again thanks to ALL
