Hello,

Is it possible to add a default prefix to all components that are imported with an EMN/EMP file.

i.e. component with name "filename" should appear in creo as "prefix_filename"

Since the name that appears in Creo for a part, assembly, etc is the file name, you would need to rename or copy the files to the filename with the prefix.

If that's what you want, my approach would be to do the renaming via a batch file (Command window or DOS) with a modification to the driving file (EMN/EMP file, something I've not worked with). Then import using the updated stuff.

Hello Ken,

Maybe it is possible to use a batchfile but this is not the wanted solution. To many people are wotking with this so it should be preferably automatic. You can do it with the ecadhintmap file but than you need an enourmous list which needs to be maintenance.
