How to create conical reduced branches for spec driven piping?

Hello everyone!

I'm searching for a way to use conical branches (see attached pic - it's a branch with different sizes for each outlet) in spec driven piping. Since the ASFILE offers "SIZE", "NSIZE" and "BSIZE" it should be somehow possible.

What I tried in the ASFILE (unsucessfully):

- Category: BRANCH and Code: BRANCH_REDUCING --> this seems not to work if there is a value for NSIZE

- Category: REDUCER and Code: INLINE_REDUCING --> the part can be selected in the "insert Fitting" dialogue, but the drop-down-list for "new size" remains empty (message: no Fitting Name from autoselect). Also tried to Combine BRANCH with INLINE_REDUCING and REDUCER with BRANCH_REDUCING, same result.

Any Ideas?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news here, but sadly, I don't think this is possible.

Check out a similar question here:

Here's a support case on the issue: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS273955

Similarly... "schedule" is not used and can't vary for any of the ports either: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS3155

Hope this helps.

Too bad, but thanks for the reply. At least the product Managers seem to be aware of the issue, so one's hoping to see more branching Options in future Releases.
