Awesome!

Do you work for Bobcat? Can you share a little more of how its animated, what you used to render, time it took to produce, etc?

Thanx,

I do not work for Bobcat, I just wanted to find out how the bobcat arm mechanism works, out of curiousity. I couldnt find any good youtube videos so I downloaded a simple step-model of a bobcat on Grabcad.com. I then "brought it to life" with help of Creo MDO.

See image:

Getting the arm-mechanism to work properly took about half an hour, setting up the skidding took another half hour because its not easy to get it right.

After I was happy with the animation, I exported an .FRA to Keyshot with help of their plugin for Creo. Added some decals with from google and with a little help of GIMP (to create a transparant background) and added nice colours, environment and background. This also took only about half an hour (the keyshot interface is so intuitive). Rendering the final animation took about 8 hours, a nightshift for my pc.

Take a look at https://grabcad.com/mylibrarymodels if you're interested to see more CREO models I made for fun.

cheers.
