Creo Parametric 3.0 License Request Issue

I recently installed Creo Parametric 3.0 on my PC.

When I run the application, a Warning Message immediately pops up displaying:

"License request failed for feature.

Invalid feature name: [FEATURE_NAME]"

When I click OK, the application closes.

Has anyone had this issue? How may it be resolved?

Did you obtain a new license from PTC for Creo3 and install it?

This message will prompt, if Creo 3.0 was installed without license information. If you have configured server with Creo 3.0 license, reconfigure Creo 3.0 (C:\Program files\PTC\Creo 3.0\<Datecode>\parametric\bin) by executing reconfigure.exe. On page 2 of setup define server (under License Summary) as 7788@NAME_OF_SERVER and complete install.

Benjamin,

what kind of license do you use:

  • commercial ?
  • academic ?
  • student ?

Can you show us your license file ?

Where did you get installation media ?

Never show or share a license file!!!

Ben,

you can always make a picture of Notepad window containing license file and cut off sensitive information (for example MAC address, server name, numeric code) .
