Something like this directory. It may be different for student edition, I do not have experience with that.

C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 3.0\M050\Common Files\text

Luka,

Is it happening just after launching Creo or when performing some action?

Not sure it is due to graphics or not. However making a test by adding config graphics as win32_gdi in config file may help.

It happening just after launching Creo.

What exactly should I do?

Thank you.

List your computer specs with graphics card information?

Desktop or laptop?

I have a laptop, Asus G550 running on Windows 8.1 pro, i7-4710HQ CPU, 16 gb RAM and graphical card is: Nvidia Geforce GTX 850M.

I have the same problem with installing any version of Catia and Abaqus. I know this is forum for PTC Creo, but I think it goes for the same problem...

GeForce cards are not supported for CAD applications, they are gaming cards.

Did you try the graphics setting in your config.pro?

what settings do u think? What should I change o them?

I reeeeealy need this, so pleeease HELP ME!

Search your computer for a file called config.pro

Open the file with a text editor, like notepad.

Add the following line:

graphics win32_gdi

Save the file

Start Creo. If it starts, you have a graphic issue. If it still doesn't start, your have different problem.

And now I can't even install Creo with student version... I removed the program before and try it again and it freezes at this pointCapture.PNG

Maybe someone can help here but you should also submit an academic support request.

Academic Case Logger

They are good at solving student configuration issues.

Thank you, I will try there.

Did you try the graphics setting in your config.pro?

The card just has to support OpenGL, Geforce cards do.

So what should I change in config.pro file? Or what settings should I use?

You can try what Stephen said above as a test. But it looks like you have other problems now.

What graphics driver version are you running?

Ok did you add graphics win32_gdi to the config.pro like Stephen said above?

I can't find this file on C directory, because there is more than one config.pro files.

Your laptop (if I am reading the correct Asus G550 version) has Intel graphics AND the GTX. It was probably trying to start up on the Intel, if you can figure out how to get Creo to start on the GTX, and then remove the line you added to the config.pro, Creo should run better.

I can run it now with GTX graphics if I right click-it on the icon and then select to run with the graphics processors (GPU) of GTX card...
