ISDX image W5 Creo

Creo Users,

We have multiple foundation licenses and a few ISDX. We have parts that used ISDX to place an image in a part. When opened at work w/ foundation license the image shows up fine, but if open offsite it is a grey box, no image. I am guessing it is a path issue. Can someone point me in the right direction on this? Path on network issue or license issue?

Thank you

Ryan,

It's not a license issue - it's the path. The trace sketch image must reside in the same directory as the part in order for Creo to open it properly. If it's not in that same directory it shows up as grayed out. Unfortunately, it doesn't store the image file as an integral piece of the part file - just looks at it as a linked item. Not sure if that will change in Creo 1.0

Ryan,

Thanks to Paul Sagar at PTC here's an answer to your situation. A config option exists that will store the trace sketch as well as any other textures with your part, allowing it to open regardless of whether or not you are on your network:

save_texture_with_model yes
