Create a double-motion sequence in Illustrate

Create a double-motion sequence in Illustrate

Goodmorning everyone,
I would need to create a sequence with the lifting of a double bulkhead, so I have to apply two movements at the same time on the same object (upward translation and rotation).
I created the movement with Parametric through the pin, slide and cylinder connections.
Now I would like to bring it or recreate it in Illustrate to create the sequence to use in Studio (see video).
Is it possible in your opinion?
Below is also the link that contains the .pvz with the movement (not real) that I managed to create in illustrated. (Figure: opening_port_dx) https://we.tl/m6g5JpWGMm
Thank you,
Matteo.

Yes, you can apply multiple transforms simultaneously in Creo Illustrate. The easiest way to do it is to add the transforms sequentially, and then adjust the keyframes to overlap. So, try something like this:

  1. Move the bulkhead
  2. Rotate the bulkhead
  3. In the Keyframe editor, you will have two gray bars, the first for the translation and the second for the rotation. Drag the rotation bar backward so it covers the same time span as the translation bar. Now the two motions will be applied simultaneously.

If you want to get a more complex mechanism movement into Creo Illustrate, see this thread: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Studio/Animation-of-CAD-model/m-p/537158

Good way to do this is make a *.fra mechanism file from Creo Parametric module Mechanism Design.

This *.fra file you can import to Creo Illustrate.

But it make a animation, not a sequence. Then you must this animation convert to sequence, see this article:

https://community.ptc.com/t5/Studio/Is-possible-to-Play-an-Animation-not-a-Sequence-in-TWS-from-Creo/td-p/545977

Disadvantage: You need two separate Creo Illustrate apps in same time (it reguired two licenses).

Good luck.

Tomas

Hi Tomas,

I managed to create the sequence passing from the animation. (PROCEDURE: once you have loaded the .fra file done with the mechanism and created the animation, I copy the frame and move to the sequence without using 2 licenses).

In illustrate version 4.2, everything works correctly (see file illustration2.c3of)

When I load the pvz in Vuforia studio and I go to use this sequence it does NOT work. The preview even stops. (See experience: PROVA_RONDO.zip)
