Vuforia View Crash on application startup (Android)

Hello,

 

After the last Vuforia View update for Android (April 11, 2019) the app crashes just after startup when the camera is activated in the scan activity. 

 

We are using the industrial tablet Panasonic FZ-A2 (Android 6.0.1). This never happened in previous versions of the app.

 

Here is the log from LogCat with the crash:

Hello,

 

I have some questions :

  • Do you reproduce this issue in various android tablets ?
  • Did you try to uninstall Vuforia View and reinstall it ?
  • What are the steps done in your Experience to have this issue ?
  • Do you have this issue in all Experiences or a specific one ?

Hello,

 

  • We can reproduce in all the tablets (they are all the same model Panasonic FZ-A2 Android 6.0.1) I cannot reproduce in my personal phone (Android 8.1).
  • We tried reinstalling, rebooting and even installing in a new tablet for the first time and it crashes every time.
  • We have not done any steps in the experience it started crashing after Vuforia View was updated. It crashes even with no account associated and no thinkmark scanned, it crashes just after starting the app.
  • As I said before, it is not related to any experience, it crashes just after the application is started even if there is no account, thinkmark or experience associated.

  • Do you a support about Vuforia Studio in your company?

         To manage a such problem, a case is better than to exchange in PTC Community.

         For example, in such case, I need to report that to R&D.

 

  • Can you give your company's name and your name, please?

        It is mandatory to open a case.
