Solved! Go to Solution.
What i did to make it permantly was reinstall the Creo, at least the start fold for the config estabilized.
Is your system admin setting the working directory in the system config.pro or config.sys?
Open Creo, File-options and then Configuration Editor.
Look at the system loaded config.pro and config.sup files.
ACTUALLY i already lost the original config.pro of creo, because i put other config in the common files of creo.
when i open, i see this:
What is in that config.pro file?
it has the config i used to work daily, like the one i send before. i was tired of seting a new place for the config, them i decide to put my config there.
What i just did, it was reinstall the creo 7
now the config is coming alright, but other problem persists
Thats is the working_directory folder not saving. For what i recall when i select one fold as working_directory, once i close and open the creo, he open in the working_directory i select before, right?
thats not happeing
i already tried file open defalut folder
As default, as working_directory and as in session
after i close and open, it open in the folder chose to be the folder with config.
Did you happen to make a backup of your config.pro?
Before I ever make changes I typically save a copy to YYYYMMDDconfig.pro so I have something to fall back on.
If not, can your IT retrieve your older config.pro from their backups?
I think you are expecting Creo to remember the last directory you were working in, that is NOT your "Start In" directory, and automatically go there the next time you open Creo?
Creo doesn't do this. It starts up with the working directory set to the Start In specified in the shortcut you use to start the program.
One option if you want to launch Creo from different folders is to put a shortcut to Creo in each folder and then launch it from there. I think this will set your working directory to that folder.
Also, if you double click a file in a Windows folder to open it, that will also make that folder your working directory.
I use Windchill so those tricks are going back a ways since we last used folders for Creo parts.
