Hi Pro/E experts,

Simple question for whci i could not find an answer: /3GB switch is useful only for 4 GB or more RAM?

I assume you are referring to Windows XP (32-bit).
The /3G switch can be used regardless of the amount of physical RAM.
Most of our PC's that use this switch have only 2GB of RAM.
Even if the /3G switch is enabled, 32-bit Windows (XP or Vista) will
never use more than 4GB.
This is because the CPU cannot address more than 4GB.
So don't bother installing more than 4GB of RAM.

On the practical side: If you need more than 3GB, you should consider
moving to Windows XP x64 (or Vista x64).
