Anyone tried Windows 7 yet?

Has anyone tried to get Pro/E installed & running under Windows 7 beta?

I've been asked to do some preliminary tests to see if there are performance improvements over Vista.

However, I can't get anything to work.
Our normal install method is to copy an installation from another configured PC.
Afterward, when I tried to launch Pro/E (Wildfire 3 M130) nothing happened.
I was able to execute the proe.exe, which prompted for the PSF file.
But that's it.
Nothing else happened afterward.
No errors or warnings.
No processes/tasks running.

So, I decided to do a fresh install from PTC's CD's.
Setup won't run.
Apparently, it exits immediately upon launch.
It doesn't even show up in the task manager.
Again, no errors, warnings, etc.

Well, I forgot about the obvious: Try WildFire 4.
This did install, and I have started my tests, using the OCUS benchmark.

Several of you have already replied, asking for more details.
In short: When we did our testing of XP vs. Vista, we found that Vista was 50% slower with Pro/E.
The impact from this alone would have cost us millions of dollars per year in lost productivity.
And that did not include the additional costs to test and configure (drivers, etc) Vista for deployment, or testing other applications.

We are hoping that Windows 7 will address these performance & other known Vista problems, such as driver support.

I was also requested to post my results.
I will do so.

We are in the process of migrating to Windows 7 with 64 Bit,let me know if you are runningWindows 7 with ProEWF

We know for sure ProE will perform much better with 64Bit together with Windows there could be some bugs it makes me really nervous I have generated a big list of items I have to test ProEWF4, PDMLink, ProMechanica.
