Assembling Components Creo 2

Creo 2, M040

When assembling components in Creo, if there are any component interfaces in your parts Creo will default to interface to interface or interface to geometry.  If there are a lot in your assembly, Creo will pause for a long time thinking about all the possible placed the new component can be put.  Ironically, what was once meant to speed up assy now makes it significantly slower.

Is there a config option to change the default assembly type to manual?
