Hello, We are fairly new to Mechanica. I personally have never used the module. Our sole Mechanica user gets the following warning when trying to run a simulation. "Cannot find ANSYS solver, check installation" Is this something that might be found on the install disk or is this a separate module that needs to be purchased? Is this a setting that must be altered to work? Any information on this ANSYS solver would be appreciated. Sorry for the ignorant question with limited info. Thanks. Mike, I think you are in FEM mode, which is a pre-processor to use other solvers such as ANSYS. You need to be in Mechanica Structure mode without checking the FEM check box so you can use the Mechanica solvers. Dana e SPINE Dana Coombs Analytical Engineer 1301 Goshen Parkway West Chester, PA 19380
When installing ProE, you must choose the folder where you installed MECHANICA. You do not need the CDs to fix this. Just run the ptcsetup script and look for the page that asks you about other applications.
