I am a fairly recent Creo user and had a few customization questions.
1. How can I create a custom symbol/balloon call out with a color fill in the balloon with text that will show over the fill layer.
I have created a custom balloon and used the hatch/fill with a solid background.Yet, when I place my \index\ text over the balloon before I set variable text to rpt.index all appears to be well. When I finish the completion of the symbol and then change the balloon call out by component to test the new balloon symbol all I receive is a black balloon and the text being white is hidden behind the black text.
On this topic any advice is welcome for a better way or maybe not simply possible. This is a marketing format that was sent to me with a list of what they want so when it comes down the pipe there is little to be done to the print. Resulting in no manipulation of the print itself.
2. How can I adjust the line weight to newly imported models to a drawing?
As far is this one goes I have rummaged through the config setup as well as the drawing setup and have found some things that sound like what I need,but are in fact text weight.
Please advise on this situation.
NOTE:
Most of the formats used are things I have setup off a local server so that all systems using the Creo software will pull our created templates, drawing options, config options, assembly, and part defaults.

Have you tried to make the custom balloon symbol with the outlined text in the symbol. I know you can use text in a sketch and have the text take on a parameter value. Not sure if you can do this with symbols or not.
Trying to use Creo Parametric for Marketing literature is a bold move. Automating it is even bolder. Good luck on that.
As for line weight; pen tables. By default the geometry lines for drawings is set by the drawing. There is an obscure option in the view properties that asks where the colors come from. This may work for solid geometry edges when set in the model. By default, it used the drawing's setting.
