The text does not display and message is 'Sketched text produces degenerate strokes'. I was able to sketch 4 different texts then the error message popped up.
Thank you in advance.
Which font are you using?
font3d. What is confusing is I was able to create 4 different texts and then the error.
Each character is independent as to what it can do.
Taper extrudes are particularly vulnerable.
I too use the Font3D.
It is the most reliable of the outlined fonts.
Can you post an image of the offending text?
Are you using a different character in the 5th text compared to the others? For use in sketcher - extrude, the strokes of the text need to form closed loops, and we've had a character or two that failed to do so.
And of course, PTC is fixing those for all the releases they were bad, right ![]()
Matthew, can you confirm some of those are in the FONT3D font?
I'm not part of the relevant group, so it would take a significant amount of time to research, which I don't have to spare, sorry. I do know that I saw an SPR on such a glyph, and assisted in getting it to the right group.
Thanks for the reply, Matthew.
I haven't found issues in the FONT3D as yet.
Some of the others are notoriously bad.
That is why it was the 1st question I asked.
