Creo Elements Direct 72 Hour License

Creo Elements Direct 72 Hour License

I still cannot acquire a 72-hour license due to Cloudflare Internal Error (since Oct 20) despite upgrading to Creo Elements v9 , reinstalling everything , Win 7  up to Win8.1 , back again , back to to Creo v 6  etc etc . But the interesting thing is that I ended up repairing a Macbook Air that had a dead display that I last used three months ago , which had Creo Elements running on Virtual Box , and it re-opened fine without having to acquire a new 72-hour license , because when I shut down VirtualBox I had "Saved The Virtual Machine State" with Creo running on it & without closing Creo , rather than powering off the Virtual Machine. It seems the virtual license doesn't affect Creo on VM's  in the same way or at least not on my setup (I'm using VirtualBox 7 on a 2015 Macbook Air running OS Monterey  & Creo Elements v6. I guess I'll lose it when something crashes as it no doubt will , but till then I don't have to keep trying to get a new 72-hour license. I'm wondering if the Cloudflare issue could be to do with a new fibre connection and router...if so I will be Creo-less unless I can figure it out.

Hello ptc-2678795
I can confirm that. If you don't turn off V6 or V8, you won't be kicked out after 72 hours and can continue working indefinitely.
If you turn it off, you won't be able to start again without a new license.
The really new thing about V9, however, is that it (for the time being) no longer requires a 72-hour license.
You wrote that you also installed this version 9?   Were you able to start it?
Did you also read the posts that say you should first uninstall V6 and V8 and only then install V9?

I already installed V9 at the end of June.
Before that, I backed up the data from V6+V8.
I copied the program folders, my personal changes, and the start icons to an external hard drive.
Then I installed V9, and it runs without the 72-hour license.
After that, I tried to reinstall V8, but it didn't work because the installation program recognized that a newer version (V9) was installed and aborted.
So I copied the previously backed up data back to its original location. And lo and behold, I was able to start it too.
However, it asks for the 72 license if you don't start V9 first.
It should also be mentioned that Windows does not recognize V6+V8 when “installed” in this way. This means that you can no longer uninstall them if necessary, but only delete them.

Hi , the problem I have had is that with V9 or V6 (I wasn't aware there was a V8) I only get the screens asking me to get a license and when I click the "Aquire Key" I just get a screen saying "Cloudflare Internal Error" , my request is not connecting with the PTC site. I always uninstall Creo before installing new versions.

Okay, then let's give it a try.
Get the latest installation programs and test it.

My apologies to all , I should have made clear that I was referring to the Express version Of Creo Elements /Direct Modelling

Don't worry., By "72 Hour License", it was clear to us that you are talking about Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Express (also shortly called PE80 or PE90) .. And in addition the huge amount of topics over the past 14 days here on community.ptc are all about the same 'thing' = Express .
