I have been trying to install creo 9 for a project in my University for However long now. For a really long time I thought it was something random preventing the setup from running. Of course I looked at the event viewer, look at the all of the relevant posts here whatsoever but to no avail. At the when trying to download it to a virtual machine, I noticed that I can open the setup when I disable all of the network devices on my laptop therefore install it. Now the problem is licence though. Since I don't have a valid MAC address when I open the setup, it can't create a valid licence file. And when I try to open them one by one, basically as long as I have internet, I will not be able to open setup or if its already open it will crash while installing licence. I have also tried reconfiguring the licence after downloading but its basically the same.
After that, I tested opening it with microsoft loopback adapter and disabling any other device, even with that, since I had a MAC address, I could not open it. What can I do? Is there something I missed? Is there any other way to create a licence file? did it happen to anyone else? Any help would be highly appriciated
Note: Since I am using the licence from my university, I don't have access to lots of support pages so I can't simply ask for licence file from support.
Other point: Before this I downloaded creo10 with no problem and creo7 after little bit of tweaking to the same machine with the same windows 11.
