Firewall LMADMIN

Firewall LMADMIN

Goodmorning everyone,
I have installed Creo Parametric to a client on 2 PCs.
It has a floating license and so I have installed the license manager LMADMIN on the server.
When the server's firewall is active Creo is unable to take the license.
What ports and files do I need to enable in the firwall for everything to work?
Is there a document?
Thanks,
Matteo.

By default it needs TCP 7788.

If required you can assign a specific port to vender daemon as well

Hi,

there are two options.

1.] define 2 Inbound Rules enabling access for 2 exe-files ... lmadmin.exe and ptc_d.exe

-OR-

2.] define 2 Inbound Rules enabling access for 2 TCP ports ... 7788 and another one

another one TCP port related to ptc_d.exe must be configured manually (see administration guide)

Martin Hanák

Firewall Inbound Rules must be defined on license server, only.
