GUI - is shown the filename - chance to get any other existing attribute?

Hello Folks,

the GUI from PTC Creo ist normaly shown the filename of the part in the cursor text box, if you stay over this part with the Cursor.

Is there a chance to change this into a existing attribute?

So far i did not found any config adjustment for this.

Is there any help out there?

Regards Heiko

i suppose, this can be done only by using toolkit application

This pop-up identification follows what's in the selection filter in bottom right. So if it "smart", it means components in the assembly so the pop-up will follow that. If you change selection filter to, say, geometry, so the pop-up will identify edges/surfaces/... So I don't know off hand of a way to identify another attribute.

I don't think this is possible, so I can only offer a work-around:

I'd recommend to display the desired information in a column of the model tree.

Thus, hovering w/ mouse and highlighting won't work, but when you click on the model,

it gets highlighted in the model tree. If not everything can be displayed in the model tree,

you'll need to select by right mouse button - "Locate in model tree".

I prefer doing this via mapkey.
