I'm trying to install the latest version of Creo. Something happened where things hung on my initial install and now when I try to run the setup app, it gives me the exact same error as is discussed in https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS323172
This article directs me to kill setup.exe, but I don't see that anywhere in my task manager.
I've tried restarting my computer, and the issue persists.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to get past this? Is there some sort of bread crumb or other setting that I need to clear?
Thank you.
1. Try to open a support "Case": https://www.ptc.com/en/support/case-logger
2. Here is a discussion about the same error: https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/Another-uninstall-question-coretools-sh-dll-is-missing/td-p/7939
The installer creates a log file that may be preventing you from restarting the installer. It is in your home directory, I think.
Also, did you delete all remnants of the initial Creo install before trying it again.
