I can't seem to get Creo to work with Windows 8

I am having trouble getting Creo to work on Windows 8.  It simply will not open.  Any suggestions?

STEP is an ascii file with formatting.

It takes native language, converts it to basically a text file.

Any program capable of reading and then converting this text language into its own native language will need time to do so.

So, the only way to go faster is to be able to read and process the file faster.
