Mapkey's & Custom Icons

We're upgrading our machines from WF2.0 to WF4.0 next week; will WF4.0
recognize my Mapkey's & Custom Icons (config.win & config.pro) from
WF2.0?

Any recommendations for the transition?

Thank you and Happy Friday!

Yes it will but I don't suggest you don't re-use the config.win. You'll also have to clean up your config.pro with the options that aren't good anymore.

When you re-create your config.win, there is a good way to transfer you icons (they are stored in the config.win file). Open one session of pro/e without a config.win then open another session of pro/e with the old config.win. Using customize screen under tools in the old session, select a mapkey icon you want to copy and push the modify selection button, then the copy button image selection. Go to the other session of pro/e, you can use the modify selection button and past button image on the mapkey you want to set that icon too.

It took me just a couple of minutes to copy the 20 or so buttons from the old config.win to the new one. It sounds harder than it actually is.

Have loads of fun with it.
