Missing dimensions in .drw in elements 5.0

HI

Working with a customer we discover that if .prt is released in pdmlink the dimensions and gtol annotacions can't be updated in a .drw that is NOT released.it with the

Why is this happening?

playing a little bit with the config we received the advice to change "CREATE_DRAWING_DIMS_ONLY" to active in order to have the result... but it doesn't work.. as soon the drw drawing is saved into the workspace and check it-in the dimensions dissapear and I can retrieve them next time I check out the .drw

In the basic understanding of PLM if the file isn't released the user should be aloud to change it free of complications... but it looks like the depency between the .prt and the .drw is going way to long. even in this matter of revisions...

anyone with same problems?? solutions? comments?? suggestions???

I'm using elements 5.0

Hi

If Dimensions or gtol annotations are associated to part then it can not be altered without bringing the part to inwork Stage.

What I believe that the dimensions are associated with the part.

So the dimensions and gtol are not editable

Enev if if you create manual dimensions in drawing with CREATE_DRAWING_DIMS_ONLY NO;

then the manual dimensions are also associated to the part

So you can not change these without bringing the released parts to Inwork
