Model Check on check in

Dear Colleges.

Anyone know a way to have ModelCHECK automatically at check in?

Windchill: 11.0 M030-CPS15

Creo: 4.0 M080

This is what I believe the OOB options are:

Options:

  • Interactive Mode
    • File/Prepare, ModelCHECK
  • Regenerate Mode
    • Automatically runs every time you regenerate the model.
    • Problems are found immediately.
  • Save Mode
    • Runs on save operation
  • Batch Mode
    • Runs outside of Creo

In Config.pro set:

ModelCheck_Enabled yes

This will tell the system to look for your ModelCheck files.

In config_init.mc set:

# Enable/Disable ModelCHECK in specific modes
MODE_RUN YN Y Y N Y

The default is Y Y N N.

This will tell ModelCheck to run when you Save a file.

This book is a great resource for ModelCheck:

https://www.amazon.com/Re-Use-Your-CAD-ModelCHECK-Handbook/dp/1532940106/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=

There is no way to run MC at checkin. But if you enable gatekeeper in Windchill and if MC has not been run on the files or if there are errors, checkin will fail.

While ModelCheck does not run at check-in, it does run at save so the latest changes have been run through ModelCheck before check-in. If you run check-in from your Creo session, then you will get the save, model check, upload and check-in all in sequence so nothing should be invalidate the ModelCheck run
