Hi All,
From the beginning of time I have installed Pro/E on a shared network drive and had no issues. My first attempts at doing that with Creo 1.0 M020 are not going so well. It wants to also install "Creo Platform 1.0" when a user starts Creo. It works fine if the user is in an admin group which can install software. The problem is that the vast majority of my users are not admins nor do I want them to be.
Ideally I don't even want that software installed - I just want Pro/E - er Creo to run. However, after searching and finding no answers I've added that package (creoagent_32_64.msi) to a GPO and pushed out to a couple of machines as a test. Upon launching Creo it still wants to do something with that package that requires admin perms.
Is there some way around this "agent"? A config option etc that specifies I do not want it to be used? Is a network install with non-admin users not a viable option any longer?
Thanks,
Steve
