Publishing Issue

For some reason my ProductView Publisher has started publishing files using a "As Stored" configuration. I need to set it to publish using a "Latest" configuration. I have searched and can't seem to find out how to change the default publishing configuration. Any body have any ideas.

One of the major benefits of publishing is ensuring As Stored - careful about making it Latest.

In general, you want what you "do business on" to be as the published item has been stored, ignoring anything that has happened to its components since then.

You can try experimenting with the following propety value set in the wvs.properties file:

publish.configspec.default.useasstoredifavailable

Default Value: true
Synopsis: Use As Stored config spec if available
Description: When publishing an EPMDocument structure, and no config spec has been specified, or the Create Representation wizard specifies "default" (which its self is the default option), then the config spec used will depend on the EPMDocument. Setting this option to true will cause the as stored config spec (if one exists) to be used when default is specified.

Please try in the test machine first.
