Save a copy

One of the designers here is having an issue saving a copy and I have been unable to find a solution to the problem. When he tries to save a copy of an assembly and rename the parts he gets an error(see image). If he tries to save a copy of the subassembly containing the part it works fine or of he just saves a copy of the part here is no problem. We are using Creo 2.0 with no data management system (I've been working on that since the day I got here). Any ideas about what the problem might be or how to fix it would be appreciated.

You can't rename a component of an assembly if you don't change also the name of assembly.

That was the step we were missing.

Thanks
