Schools edition is slow and glitchy on my computer.

I've got a "schools edition" of WF4 on my computer and it it so sluggish that it is for all intensive purposes unusable. I've got a fairly fast computer that I built less than a year ago so I don't know what the deal is.

What version of Pro/E are you running What are the specs on your cpu? What graphics card are you running? See here... http://www.ptc.com/appserver/wcms/standards/fileothumbredirect.jsp?im_dbkey=77552&icg_dbkey=841

3GHz core 2 duo 512MB nVidia graphics card. I can about handle any game on the market right now so WF4 shouldn't be an issue. I installed it on a laptop as well with fairly low specs and it acts the exact same way. It takes minutes in between commands.

Brad Although you are working with the student version of Pro-E it is still a professional design tool that requires certain hardware to work. Gaming is not a standard to use towards this software. You need RAM, which is not stated in you spec of your computer. Bare min on RAM is 2GB if you are running XP. If you don't have that much RAM you will be quite limited on what you can model and expect. Another thing that can slow down Pro-E is your anti-virus software, 90% of the time they don't cause a problem, but I would shut it off and see what it does. The forum will need more information in order to help you debug your issue. Regards Eric
