Is it possible to set a 'Start in' Directory for Creo+

Currently, I don't believe that you can. However, the Environment Variable "PTC_WF_ROOT" defines the Start in directory and Mark has that on his list of desired variables.

I don't believe the "PTC_WF_ROOT" defines the Start in directory. We have a lot of customers who use the 'Start in' option on the Properties of the Creo startup icon to point to a particular folder and the config.pro option file_open_default_folder working_directory set so that it opens directly to the Start in folder. This doesn't seem possible in Creo+

Hi all,

Others have raised the ability to define an env variable for Start-In directory.  It is something we are looking into.  Today, you can certainly change the properties of the desktop icon, but that is not leveraged if you start Creo+ from the PTC Control Center.  

We are investigating.  As for the ability to define your own env variables, this is something we are looking to introduce in one the initial builds of Creo+ (post release in May).
