Hello,
We are on the verge of switching from CoCreate Modeling 15.50C + Does-It database system to Creo Elements/Direct 18.0 + ModelManager PDM.
We probably will change our systems as well, the problem is that all the system requirements that I've found are either for the personal edition or for minimal requirements.
We use very large assemblies. +10.000 parts.
I would like the system requirements for desktop and for a laptop system. (more people would preffer a laptop for working from a distance)
We have a few systems in mind:
- desktop:
HPZ400 WS | HPZ400 WS |
Xeon W3565 3.2GHz - 8MB/1066 QC | Xeon W3565 3.2GHz - 8MB/1066 QC |
12GB DDR3-1333 (3x4GB) | 12GB DDR3-1333 (3x4GB) |
500GB SATA 7200 | 500GB SATA 7200 |
Quadro 2000 1GB | Quadro 4000 2GB |
- laptop:
DELL | DELL | DELL | DELL |
M4600 Essential - 15,6" | M4600 Essential - 15,6" | M6600 Essential - 17,3" | M6600 Advanced - 17,3" |
i7-2760QM | i7-2860QM | i7-2760QM | i7-2860QM |
12GB DDR3-1333 | 12GB DDR3-1333 | 12GB DDR3-1333 | 12GB DDR3-1333 |
128GB SSD / 320GB SATA | 128GB SSD / 320GB SATA | 128GB SSD / 320GB SATA | 128GB SSD / 320GB SATA |
Quadro 2000M 2GB | Quadro 2000M 2GB | Quadro 3000M 2GB | Quadro 3000M 2GB |
Would there be a big performance difference between laptop - desktop?
Are there any suggestions to change these requirements?
And I've heard Creo Elements/Direct only supports one core ... (buying a Quad core makes it kinda stupid ...)
Is this true and if yes, will this change in the future?
Thank you for your time,
Wouter
